Sitting in the middle of London on the edge of the Thames is an unusual site – a full-sized reconstruction of the ship Sir Francis Drake used to circumnavigate the globe in 1577-80.
On board the Golden Hinde you can experience the life of a 16th century explorer as you and your kids discover the decks, raise the anchor and fire the guns.
Brilliant interactive tours are led by actors in period dress as they bring to life the history of the ship with tales of Sir Francis Drake’s voyage around the world. Unique, educational and most of all, fun, the Golden Hinde is a great family activity.
